September ’19 – Net Worth and monthly update #13 £532,376 +£11,595

We were so busy over the last couple of months, what with weekends away at the caravan during August and the kids going back to school in September, that I forgot to do an update last month.

So if you’re interested in what we’ve been up to carry on reading below.

As mentioned in our last update, our second born, FU#2 finished her GCSE’s and has now received her results which were fantastic.

The grades were in the new number format which is utterly confusing and pointless if you ask me. The first thing most people did was to work out the equivalent mark in A-C format. Anyway she got mostly 7’s, 8’s, and 9’s which equates to A’s – A*’s apparently.

What next for FU#2? – She was undecided whether to continue on to  A levels or to follow in Fu#1’s footsteps and do an apprenticeship. After much consideration she decided to enter the world of work and started an apprenticeship which she is now enjoying.

We’ve more or less finished our caravanning for the season, but we enjoyed some nice weekends in August, with trips made to Carlisle by train and a hike up Malham Cove , amongst other explorations in the Yorkshire Dales.

We may have one last visit to the caravan in October half term if the weather is nice, before we put it into winter storage until next March.

Other activities are conspiring to take our time up. Little Fu’s 2, 3 and 4 have started their football season so thats weekends sorted!, and Fu’s 5 and 6 are learning to ski.

Oh, and against my better judgment and being outvoted, we have now got 2 little Kittens to look after.

The following figures represent August and September’s change in our net worth.

Those kittens are just too cute!!!!!!! Hope they’re not causing too much chaos in your house.

Good increases despite the drop in your SIPP valuation. I’ve found that although I’m logging my numbers monthly, I’m not really taking notice of the values – they’re only really vaguely meaningful at the end of the year so I can ignore the monthly ups and downs.

Good going on the matched betting – I’m struggling with time so my profits are dropping slightly.

All the best to FU#2 – will you or do you have an FI plan for her too?

      Hi weenie

The kittens are playing and fighting all round the house. Trying to keep them off my leather suite!

I’m trying to ignore the ups and downs on the figures as well. Just hoping that overall they creep upwards slowly each month and when I look back over a year there is a big increase.

I’m setting up an FI plan for Fu#2 and currently opening her accounts – She’s on board with the FI thing luckily.

Hi, first time here and interested to learn more about the matched betting income stream. Is there a guide or post you’ve written about your approach here?

    Thanks
