This month, like the saving ninja in his latest post, I’ve been tracking and posting my net worth for exactly 3 years on this blog.
Amazingly, in that time my net worth has increased by £327k, at an average of £9k a month.
Those 3 years have sped by and, taking pause, makes me realise that the kids are growing up fast, with three of them now in the world of work. The remaining three will not be far behind at this rate.
I have to constantly remind myself to be aware of the present because day to day life goes by in a blur due to general busyness.
Since reaching our FIRE number a couple of months ago I have been conscious to take more days off work when possible, especially as the weather has been great. Hopefully, the weather will stay nice for our week away in Bournemouth in a few weeks time.
As well as taking more holidays, my plan is to reduce my working week by a day each year so that when I can access my SIPP in 4 years I will be working 1 day a week, at which point I can hand over the day to day running of my business to my son.
