July ’22 – Net Worth and monthly update #48 £873,672 (+£19,172) 115% FI

What goes down must go back up?

My investments in my SIPP pension pretty much went back up what they had gone down in June,  just over £18k. Goes to show that just gotta keep the faith and not sell in a bear market because no one can predict what will happen.

We had another busy month again. This seems to get repetitive.

Me and Mrs FU celebrated our silver wedding anniversary, 25 years of married life together!

I surprised her with a 4 night trip to Portugal without the kids which was great. This was the first time we have had a proper childless holiday for over 20 years. The freedom was fantastic and gave us a foretaste of things to come for when we actually retire in a few years.

Feeling guilty about our child-free holiday when we got back, we booked a family holiday to Crete for the end of August which the kids are all looking forward to, as we have not had a family holiday abroad for a couple of years due to covid.
